Sitka National Historical Park hosts beach clean-up for National Public Lands Day

The Sitka National Historical Park will team up with the Sitka Sound Science Center to host a beach clean-up event on Saturday, Sept. 26, as part of National Public Lands Day.

The program will take place from 3-5 p.m. at the Sitka National Historical Park visitor’s center. Margo O’Connell of the Sitka Sound Science Center will give a brief talk about marine debris, and then participants will do a clean-up of the park’s tidal flats. Refreshments will be available.
