Youth ages 5-18 and their parents can learn more about programs offered by the Sitka Spruce Tips/Alaska Way Of Life 4-H Club by attending an open house and 2019-20 registration session from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Room 106 at the University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus.
The Sitka 4-H club is coordinated by the Sitka Conservation Society and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. The Sitka club offers programs on wild edibles, archery, running, an adventure club, and more.
Youth and parents will be able to meet local 4-H leaders and get to know the programs. They can register or renew their registrations at the meeting. Scholarships are available for those who need assistance.
For more information, contact Emily at Sitka Conservation Society at 747-7509 or Jasmine Shaw at the Sitka office of the UAF Cooperative Extension Service at 747-9440.
