The Sitka Spruce Tips 4-H Club will host an open house from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, in Room 106 at the University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus.
This event is open to youth ages 5-18, and their parents, who want to learn more about the 4-H program in Sitka. The 4-H club offers a storytelling series, running club, scavenger hunt, and wild edibles workshops, and that’s just in October.
The October calendar will be available for review at the open house, plus there will be door prizes and a kit giveaway for the first 15 youth to attend.
The Sitka Spruce Tips/Alaska Way of Life 4-H program is co-sponsored by the Sitka Conservation Society and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. For more details, contact Drew Roseman at aroseman@sitkawild.org.
