The Sitka Spruce Tips/Alaska Way Of Life 4-H Club will host a two-part Homemade Holidays! series for youth ages 7-older.
In the first session, from 3:30-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, participants will learn how to make dog treats from fish scraps. Earlier this winter, the participants learned how to filet salmon as part of the Spectacular Salmon series, and they will use those skills in this session.
The next session is from 3:30-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, where participants will make candles and cards in preparation for the holiday season. The youth will use repurposed materials to share with loved ones and the community.
These sessions are open to youth ages 5-18. Please reach out to Anna Schumacher at anna@sitkawild.org for registration and more details.
The Sitka Spruce Tips/Alaska Way of Life 4-H Club is a project of the Sitka Conservation Society and the UAF Cooperative Extension Service.
